About the Team

Noreen Kohl, Ph.D., is a Sociologist and serves as a Researcher and Evaluator at the Social Science Research Institute. Her work focuses on the social determinants of health, mental health, and well-being. Noreen’s interests include policies and practices that advance trauma-informed, non-punitive approaches and address the root causes of systemic inequities. She has conducted policy research and advocacy to improve supports and services for caregiving across the lifespan, such as paid family leave, equitable workplace policies, and long-term care supports.
